The Zipbaits ZBL Fakie Dog 90mm Floating Lure is a floating dog-walk style pencil for surface fishing when predators are looking upward and bait is being chased near the top.
The standard Fakie Dog role is walking the surface with a side-to-side baitfish action.
It is a surface control lure: rod tip, slack line, and cadence matter more than simply winding it back.
Use short downward twitches with slack line to get it sliding, then pause it when it reaches a likely strike point.
It is strongest around flats, river mouths, harbour lights, rock edges, bait schools, and calm pockets beside current.
It is not the right choice when fish are glued to bottom or refusing surface lures, but when they are willing to rise, the walking action gives you a lot of control.
