Yo Zuri Mag Pencil 200 mm Floating Lure R1597-BONE

200mm | Floating | Variant: R1597-BONE

The Yo-Zuri Mag Pencil 200 mm Floating Lure is a large floating topwater pencil for walking the surface over open water, reefs, bait schools, and current lines.

Its job is to show a long, struggling baitfish profile without diving too deep or throwing a popper-style splash every move.

Work it with rod-tip rhythm and slack line so it walks or sweeps side to side.

Slow, wide movement works when fish are following; a faster cadence is better when predators are fired up and bait is scattering.

It is strongest when fish are feeding high and willing to chase a big surface target.

If fish are keyed on tiny bait or refusing to break the surface, a smaller pencil, sinking minnow, or stickbait will usually convert better.

Natural or translucent baitfish finishes are best in clear to lightly stained water, especially when fish are feeding by sight and have time to inspect the lure.

TARGET SPECIES: trevally, queenfish, bluefish, sea bass, tuna-class juveniles, mahi-mahi, barramundi, and predators willing to attack bait near the surface.
