The Shimano XM-129R Exsence MD Responder 129S Sinking is a saltwater minnow/shore plug for fishing bait lanes, river mouths, surf edges, harbour walls, and rock wash.

It gives you a controlled baitfish profile that can be worked steadily or broken up with twitches and pauses.

Start with a steady retrieve to understand the swimming line, then add small speed changes, rod twitches, or pauses when fish are following but not eating.

Floating versions are useful over shallow structure and wash; sinking versions let you count down into chop, current, and deeper lanes.

It is strongest when predators are feeding in the upper to middle water column and moving along bait.

It is not the most direct tool for fish pinned hard on the bottom; in that case, a metal jig or soft plastic reaches the zone more efficiently.

TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, flatfish, bluefish, trevally, snapper, queenfish, rockfish, and shore predators feeding around baitfish.
