The Squid Jig Egi 2.5 is an egi-style squid jig for working weed edges, rock, harbour lights, and current seams.
It is not meant to swim like a minnow; the bite comes from the dart, glide, pause, and fall.
Cast it out, let it sink to the depth you want, then use sharp lifts to make it jump before letting it glide back down.
Keep enough contact to feel the line change, because squid often grab during the pause or the fall rather than during the lift.
It is strongest around shallow weed beds, reef edges, breakwaters, piers, and night lights.
If the current is too strong or the jig is not reaching bottom, adjust size or sink time instead of ripping it back too fast.
