The blade gives fish a stronger target than a plain metal jig, especially when water has chop, stain, or scattered bait.
Fish it with a steady retrieve when you want the blade to work cleanly, or use lift-and-fall movements when fish are lower in the water.
If the blade fouls with weed or debris, clear it quickly because the lure loses much of its attraction without that flash.
It is strongest around breakwaters, beaches, harbour mouths, flats, and inshore bait schools where predators are chasing small bait.
