The Jackson Artist FR 80 is a sinking flat-sided minnow for trout, stream, and current work.

The body shape gives quick flash on a twitch, while the sinking setup lets you put the lure into the lane rather than skating over the fish.

Cast across or slightly upstream, let it settle, then retrieve with short twitches and controlled winding.

A good retrieve should make it look like baitfish being pushed by flow and losing balance near rocks or seams.

It is strongest in runs, pools, drains, estuary edges, and rocky current where predators hold behind cover.

It is not a dead-slow bottom lure; keep it working through the lane and stay aware of depth around snags.
