The floating body gives you a little forgiveness around shallow cover and can trigger a bite when it rises after stopping.

It is strongest in trout ponds, small streams, and clear shallow lanes.

It is not the best choice for deep fish unless they are willing to rise.

The more natural or darker finish makes sense when fish are inspecting the lure closely, the water is clear, or you want a softer silhouette instead of a loud reaction colour.
