The Rubber Jig Nakata is a skirted rubber jig for fishing bottom, cover, and slower strike zones where a moving hardbait passes too quickly.
The head and skirt work together: the head keeps contact while the skirt breathes and gives the lure life when it stops.
Fish it by dragging, hopping, pitching, or crawling it through rock, weed, timber, pontoons, and hard-bottom edges.
The best bites often come after the jig stops and the skirt flares, so do not rush every retrieve.
It is strongest when fish are close to cover or bottom.
It is not a fast search bait for open water; pair it with a trailer and fish it where a predator can pin it.
The brighter or flashier finish is useful when the water has stain, the light is low, or the lure needs to stand out around current, cover, or surface disturbance.
In very clear calm water, slow the retrieve down or switch to a more natural finish if fish are only following.
