Fish it with a steady retrieve when predators are chasing, or use rod lifts and controlled drops when they are sitting lower.
The action comes from speed change and fall, so avoid winding every cast back with the exact same rhythm.
It is strongest around surf edges, breakwaters, bait schools, reef margins, and open flats where fish are moving on bait.
If fish are only following, slow the retrieve and let the jig fall more often.
