The Metal Jig Big Backer is a casting metal jig for covering water quickly and reaching predators that are feeding beyond normal plug distance.

In 15g, it gives the weight to punch casts into wind while staying compact enough to imitate fleeing baitfish.

Fish it with a straight burn when fish are chasing high, or count it down and use lift-and-fall retrieves when they are sitting deeper.

The lure gets bites through flash, speed change, and fall, not by being dragged back at one lazy pace every cast.

It is strongest from shore, breakwaters, surf, river mouths, and open flats where bait is being pushed around.

It is not the most subtle lure in calm clear water, but when distance and reaction matter, it earns its place.

The brighter or glow-accented finish is useful when visibility matters: low light, deeper water, stained water, or when fish need to find the jig quickly during a fast drop.

In clear shallow water, a more natural silver or baitfish finish may look less intrusive.
