The DD Squirrel 79SP Suspending Lure is a small jerkbait/minnow for stop-start fishing when fish are tracking baitfish but not always chasing hard.

The value is the twitch, flash, and pause rather than a simple straight retrieve.

Work it with two or three short twitches, then pause so the lure hangs or slows in front of the fish.

In clear water or colder conditions, longer pauses often matter more than more rod movement.

It is strongest along weed edges, rock walls, current seams, bridge shade, and baitfish schools where predators follow before eating.

In dirty water, a louder crankbait or vibration lure may find fish faster.
