Its value is not only the darting action; it is the ability to stop in the strike zone so a following fish can finally commit.
Work it with two or three twitches, then pause.
Short pauses suit active fish, while longer pauses are better in clear, cold, or pressured water.
If fish are following without hitting, reduce the rod movement and let the lure hang longer.
It is strongest around weed edges, rock walls, timber, drains, shade, and bait schools where predators are tracking small baitfish.
