The Corsair 65 Pencil Sinking Lure is a sinking pencil bait for subsurface search work.
It is slimmer and more direct than a crankbait, giving you casting distance and a baitfish line that can be counted down before the retrieve starts.
Use a steady retrieve to make it track like fleeing bait, or add sweeps and pauses to make it slide and fall.
Because it sinks, you can fish under surface chop, along drop-offs, or through bait schools without being stuck in the top few centimetres.
It is strongest around open flats, current seams, river mouths, rocky edges, and baitfish activity.
It is not as forgiving over shallow snaggy cover as a floating pencil, so control the countdown and start the retrieve with purpose.
TARGET SPECIES: bass, snakehead, peacock bass, sea bass, trevally, queenfish, bluefish, and predators willing to strike at surface disturbance.
