The Terrif DC 12 Type 1 Slow Sinking Lure is a larger shore minnow for working open water, surf edges, river mouths, and rock wash where small plugs disappear too easily.
The slow-sinking behaviour lets you keep it below the chop and hold it in the strike zone longer than a high-floating lure.
Fish it with a steady retrieve when you need clean tracking, then add small twitches or pauses when fish are following but not eating.
The point is not to overwork it like a pencil; let the minnow action carry the retrieve and use rod input to break the rhythm.
The slow sinking setup makes it strongest around shallow bait schools, wash lines, drains, river mouths, and rock edges where predators are already looking up.
It is not the lure to choose when fish are glued to the bottom or when you need a deep-diving plug to dig into structure.
TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, flatfish, small trevally, bluefish, queenfish, snapper, and shore-based predators feeding around bait in the upper water column.
