The Rough Trail Kono Flat 240F is a floating flat-sided surface plug built around flash, profile, and rod-work control.

The flat body matters because it catches light and gives a harder visual kick than a round-bodied lure when it rolls or slides.

Work it with sweeps, twitches, and pauses instead of treating it like a simple straight retrieve lure.

The lure can show its side, flash, and stall, which is exactly the sort of movement that can trigger fish watching bait get pushed around in current or chop.

It is best when predators are looking up around bait, reef edges, current seams, and open-water feeding lanes.

It is not a deep-running lure, so if fish are holding low, a sinking pencil or heavy casting plug will cover that water better.

TARGET SPECIES: tuna, GT, kingfish, yellowtail, mahi-mahi, trevally, queenfish, bluefish, and other pelagic predators feeding on larger bait.

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with damages that occur after the item has been used. If it’s a broken rod tip, you may contact us to check if we have a replacement available for purchase, or visit your local fishing shop for repairs.
