The Rough Trail Blue Drive 195S is a large sinking stickbait made for offshore predators that are not always willing to hit a noisy topwater.
It gives you a long baitfish profile with the ability to work under the surface, which is useful when fish are chasing but not fully breaking on top.
Fish it with sweeps, pauses, and controlled winding.
The sinking body lets you start below the surface film, then make the lure glide, kick, and stall through the upper water column.
That subsurface movement can be more convincing than a loud splash when fish are following bait but staying a metre or two down.
It is best around tuna schools, reef edges, current seams, and open-water bait concentrations.
The trade-off is that it needs space and heavier tackle; it is not a small inshore plug for tight drains or shallow snaggy banks.
TARGET SPECIES: tuna, GT, kingfish, yellowtail, mahi-mahi, trevally, queenfish, bluefish, and other pelagic predators feeding on larger bait.
