This is a surface buzzbait made for noise, lift, and reaction bites.
The blade brings the lure up quickly and throws disturbance across the top, while the skirt gives the fish a bulky target to track behind the commotion.
Fish it with the rod tip up and start winding as soon as it lands so it gets on plane quickly.
A steady retrieve is usually the cleanest approach, but small speed changes around shade, weed pockets, laydowns, or current seams can make the blade spit differently and trigger a fish that is following.
The 1/2 oz body gives it enough presence to cover water without turning it into a finesse bait.
It is strongest early and late in the day, over shallow cover, through wind lanes, or anywhere predators are looking upward and reacting to surface disturbance.
The finish should be chosen by matching it to the water rather than assuming one colour works everywhere.
Use subtle natural colours in clear water, brighter or higher-contrast colours in dirty water, and darker silhouettes when fish are tracking shape more than detail.
The honest limitation is that a buzzbait is not quiet.
If the water is dead calm and the fish are spooky, a pencil, popper, or soft plastic may get more bites.
