Best fished with short, sharp stops and quick jerks to trigger reaction strikes. The floating action keeps it visible and active at the surface, ideal for early morning or late evening when fish are feeding near the top. Works well in weed edges, docks, or open water where bass hold near cover but still patrol the surface. The P-161 model has a slightly deeper dive than standard poppers, making it effective in slightly deeper water or when fish are holding just below the surface layer. Use with medium-heavy rod and reel for best control and hooksets.
